Combining traditional/NWOBHM-inspired heavy metal with just the right amount of doom, Dogbane's new release follows highly acclaimed 2011 debut Residual Alcatraz. When Karma Comes Calling is first and foremost a riff-heavy, hook-laden slab of metal and the ultimate dedication to the band's fallen comrade/guitarist David Ellenburg who passed away on July 30, 2012 (read the Decibel announcement here).
When Karma Comes Calling was recorded and produced by Kevin Davis and Dogbane at Studio 5 in Greensboro, NC. Mixing and mastering was done by Gary Hawkins in Winston Salem, NC. The cover art is credited to Wayne Miller, CD layout/design to Linda Ronsick and Mitch Allred, and photography by Linda Ronsick and Jon Upchurch.
