Review: Hellish - Theurgists Spell EP

Total Darkness, the first song starts off slowly with some chorused guitars to lull you into a false sense of security, before kicking into some heavy riffage and killer vocals that reminds one of early Bathory/black metal era Venom. The bass solo in this song is a slight break from the high tempo, before kicking into a shredding lead that brings us back to the main riff in the song.

Silent night, the second song is the perfect example of false advertising, the song starts off with some fast as fuck riffs and violent vocals that makes you want to start a mosh pit wherever you are. Do not play this song at your kids' christmas party, is what I'm saying.

Solo reminds me of Kerry King on Hell Awaits.

Moving on to the third track, Arrival Of Satan is perfect advertising. The intro makes you feel like Satan is rising from the depths of hell to drag you down with him in his rightious fury. A shredding solo on top reminds you of your unworthyness before the dark lord. Overall, this song is one of the few good instrumental thrash songs.

That song flows perfectly into the last song, Assasin Mind.

Very Agressive riffage to pump you up, and the vocals makes you want to beat the next thing you see to a bloody pulp. Also very good layering of the guitars on this song, would recommend listening to it in stereo instead of your smartphone.
