Carved Up: "Riffer Phoenix" Now Playing At Revolver Magazine; Matador LP Less Than Two Weeks From Release

Pennsylvania/New Jersey-based Carved Up lets a new single off the chain through a Revolver Magazine exclusive as their Matador debut LP prepares to trample into the streets in less than two weeks.

"Riffer Phoenix" is the latest in the extensive array of riff puns integrated into the Carved Up song-naming process to be issued to the public, the track a prime illustration of the band's instrumental side, as virtually half of Matador was written and executed sans-vocals. Letting their riffs do the instigating with more chops than a horde of Bruce Lee's hammering at your guts, "Riffer Phoenix" is one of the instrumental cuts on Matador that slides right past the bullshit with a weaponized version of that "less talk, more rock" mindset.

Hear Carved Up literally shut up and just play already with "Riffer Phoenix" via Revolver Magazine at this location.

Also hear Matador's "We Build Riff City" at Decibel Magazine here and "Crevice/Crevasse" at Blow The Scene here.

Carved Up's Matador showcases the high-caliber metallic rock mayhem this trio deploys with ease, packing ten tunes record recorded and mixed at Skylight Studio by Vince Ratti (Circa Survive, Title Fight, Turmoil) with additional recording by Will Yip, Brad Wallace, Sam Pinola, and John Fachet, and guest contributions of cello, violin, and other noise by Greg Bortnichak and Erin Murphy of Teach Me Equals.

Matador will see release through Crowquill Records on Friday, November 13th on all digital platforms and 140-160 gram 12" vinyl with 150 on black and 100 on oxblood. Preorders for the wax have been posted at this location.

Carved Up continues campaigning for Matador regionally, with three more new shows coming up directly in conjunction with the LP's street date. All three shows will see the band alongside their cohorts Die Choking, including a double record release show for both bands in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on November 13th, a show in Meadville, Pennsylvania the 14th, and the third on Sunday, November 15th in Brooklyn, New York also with Carved Up labelmates, Spotlights.
