Thy Catafalque reveal new track

Thy Catafalque are now premiering the second new track taken from their forthcoming album 'Sgùrr', which has been scheduled for worldwide release on the 16th of October. The Hungarian avant-garde metal project assembled by mastermind Tamás Kátai is streaming the haunting track "Jura" exclusively via the following official media partners:

Legacy (DE)
Pitchline (ES)
Inferno (FI)
Radio Metal (FR)
Rocking (GR)
Kronos Mortus (HU)
Rock Hard (IT)
Eternal Terror (NO)
Musick Magazine (PL)
Ultraje (PT)
Zero Tolerance (UK)

Regarding "Jura", Tamás Kátai comments: "Jura is a song dealing with primal, prehistoric, obscure instincts about the fear of physical decline and the craving for the life-giving shelter of the womb. The music is accordingly primitive and obscure."

Thy Catafalque have previously unveiled the artwork for 'Sgùrr', which can be viewed together with the tracklist below.

1. Zúgó
2. Alföldi kozmosz
3. Oldódó formák a halál titokzatos birodalmáb
4. A hajnal kék kapuja
5. Élő lény
6. Jura
7. Sgùrr Eilde Mòr
8. Keringo
9. Zúgó

Thy Catafalque comment on 'Sgùrr': "The title of this album derives from Scottish Gaelic and means 'the top of a mountain'," states Tamás Kátai. "Yet most of the songs are equally about water, mountains, their interrelationship and the symbols attached to them - inspired by the Scottish Highlands and weird enough the Hungarian Lowlands. There are not many vocal lines at all, but when there occur, they are not pleasant. Compare to previous albums this music is mostly unfriendly, bristling and cold compared to the previous albums. I guess everything is more metal this time."
