Review: Children Of Seraph - EP

Children of Seraph is a heavy metal band from Tacoma Washington. The band was originally founded in February 2013 by Nathanyel Nieves. In September 2014 Nieves wanted new band members, because he felt the old members were holding him back. He found a new member and together they continued to add more members. This formed an epic line up that stood out in the Seattle music Scene.

The album itself contains four numbers. The first song is called ‘Defenders’ and it immediately sets the mood for the whole album. You can easily sing along. It’s sounds really dark and makes you hunger for more guitar solos. The third number ‘Seraph’s Awakening’ is a little more aggressive than the rest of the album and is actually a really nice guitar solo with a tiny bit of singing and screaming in it. You could listen for hours to this song, because something is added to the guitar solo every time. The last song is ‘Sleeping Song’. It’s a really catchy song and you are almost forced to sing along with it. At the end of ‘Sleeping Song’ you almost feel a little sad that there are only four songs on this album.

The album cover really sets the mood for the songs on the album. It’s a girl riding a tiger. It’s kind of a dark image and it suits the band very well.

Children of Seraph is a good heavy metal band, with a good first album. And personally I can’t wait for their next album!

Track list:
1. Defenders
2. Burning Ones

  2. This sounds pretty good. Metalbands with "sing a long" tunes are always great with a live show. Will check them out today!
