Review: Drown In Blood - Addicted To Murder

Loving the late 80s/ early 90s death metal from the States? Then the Italian band Drown in Blood is for you! The quintet released their first full-length album, “Addicted to murder”, just two days ago.

Packed with 8 songs, the album provides you with raw death metal that has been missing for far too long. Speedy and brutal right from the start, the guys re-invent the death metal that we know from for example the early Morbid Angel or Obituary. All songs follow the well-known death metal style, with not too much variety in it – but without getting boring at any time! Gio’s growling and some thrash metal influences further tops things off. All songs are played on a high technical level, and the production is near perfect.

Overall a very strong debut album, which leaves you with a longing for the good old times, and definitely for more from these guys!
